Why South Florida Report

AN INFLUX OF CAPITAL

The amount of capital flowing into South Florida has increased substantially over the last few years, driven particularly by venture capitalists and hedge fund managers. In 2025, South Florida drew over $6.4 billion in funding across 420 deals. That $6.4 billion represented 81% of Florida's total $7.9 billion in funding for the year, cementing South Florida's dominance within the state. It also marked the region's second-highest annual funding total on record, trailing only the historic level reached in 2022. The year got off to a strong start, with over $1.4 billion invested across 100 deals in the first quarter alone.
